Heutzutage ist Umweltschutz ein Thema, das viele Menschen beschäftigt. Wie kann man jungen Kindern einen Weg aufzeichnen, um unseren Planeten besser zu schützen?

The benefits of music and singing on the cognitive development and mental wellbeing of young children are well documented. Why not, then, use song?

Heartstrings Duet has developed a unique concept for educating primary age children about environmental issues. Instead of being preachy, pushy or negative, our programme encourages children to change basic habits in order to save energy, appreciate the world around them and be considerate for one another.

Music can change the world”

Heartstrings provides a complete package for primary schools, which can be adapted for all year groups. We provide different services for schools, either an interactive concert, a workshop, which can be adapted for different ages or a combination of workshop and concert.

Interactive concert:

In the interactive concert, the pupils are encouraged to sing along to a selection of songs, mostly in German, with a small selection in English. To this end, Heartstrings Duet have composed a number of playful, easy to learn songs, often with actions or props!

In the weeks leading up to a concert, we provide the following resources:

  • Thematische Einsingübungen zu den Liedern
  • Playback tracks for practising the songs in classroom lessons
  • fun music videos with subtitles for children to watch at home or in the class
  • illustrated lyric sheets
  • additional resources & activities
